Isla Canela is easy to get to from anywhere in Europe. The closest airport is Faro in Portugal, just 45 minutes away by car along a scenic motorway. Entering Spain via the bridge at Ayamonte there are no customs or border controls making travel swift.

Faro is a main airport for the Algarve so it is open all year round, served by lots of regular scheduled flights and yet is very easy to find and is never crowded. We recommend Easyjet who fly to Faro several times a day.

It is also possible to fly via Seville (which is about 1 hour away to the east).
